Car parks at most of the County Council’s country parks and green spaces will reopen from tomorrow (Saturday 16 May) following recent Government advice.

This includes Rufford Abbey Country Park, Holme Pierrepont Country Park- home of the National Water Sports Centre, Bestwood Country Park, Cotgrave Country Park and car parks attached to 1,900 hectares of green spaces the Council manages. All other facilities and play areas at the parks will remain closed.

The car park at Sherwood Forest currently remains closed whilst plans are put in place for a safe reopening.

Residents should check park opening times before they travel.

Full details of our parks can be found here http://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/culture-leisure/country-parks whilst green space information is available https://www.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/planning-and-environment/countryside-and-green-spaces/green-spaces

We have received the following directive from the LGA. “Crematoria and cemeteries should now be closed to the public, except for funerals or burials. The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) Regulations 2020 came in to force on the 26 March and apply to any person who is responsible for a crematorium or burial ground including local authorities and private providers.”

As such we have now closed our cemeteries at Hannah Park, Manton and Retford.
